backlog of blog in photo form

The [PHOTOJOURNAL] is updated once again, it took a bajillion seconds (year increments would have been just a little too exaggerated). These pics are mainly from about 2 1/2 months ago until right before we left for Mexico City (which I still am working on.... :-/). A lot of this post are from my LU society's inter-society rope pull (tug-o-war). Then there are general cloud shots and lightning shots and night driving shots... there are a bunch of shots... not nearly as many as I've got from Mexico though, they're ready, just need to be posted. :)

crazy busy and slightly communicatively hindered

What a week, what a month!

First, apologies for the lack of updating with the blog and photojournal, I have fairly valid reasons for the delay but part of it is time-management. For example, whereas normally I might be able to do some personal communication in-between calls at work, at least for the next 6-7 weeks I cannot. Also, for anyone that somehow missed it, I've got this really cute girlfriend that’s been stealing my attention and had been the recipient of a pretty decent portion of my free time (in addition to band practice, RLG, rockclimbing/pool, and house-hunting. Good times though. :)

The other major hang-up has been processing the insane amount (1.3gb) of pictures from the Mexico City trip as well as writing up a proper report on how it went and what impact it has and is having. Before all that gets put out let me just say thank you to all of you who supported us in prayer and also those who supported financially. It was definitely needed and helped, probably even in ways we haven't fully realized yet.

There are a number of opportunities and changes that seem to lay just over the horizon but it's all exciting and God knows what He's doing so it's all good … wait… esta bien en el bario. :D (I'm hoping that actually means what I think it does which is the Spanish equivalent to "it's all good in the 'hood."

So yes, more to come, pictures and stories and possibly video. Hopefully soon I'll be able to drop by all your sites and fully catch up too!

There are a number of things I could say right now about a busy and most excellent couple of weeks but it is continuing and that is the reason I've been horrible at posting all of a sudden (again). Let's just cover the main points then :)
- There is this lovely lady who goes by the name of Brea that (oddly enough) seems to have had lapse in judgment and agreed to go out with me. It’s a lucky break for me so I'm just going to keep my mouth shut and hope she doesn't come to her senses. :)
- The Mexico City trip is approaching fast and it is only days away now. I’m excited and …excited really… it will be an excellent experience to rely on God and hopefully make that evident to others as well. I'd say I'm nervous about it but right now there's just a peace and mindset of preparation.
- I'm slowly coming to grips with the fact that some people enjoy some of my artistic endeavors and it is really cool to see it up on a wall here or there. :)
- A crazy quick weekend up to Longview to see the Alpha Omega boys win the inter-society rope-pull was both tiring and fun and totally worth it to see peeps and homies that I haven't seen in a long while. Got to meet some of the new guys too and see some people that I didn't think I could have a year ago.
